PATTERN: SNAKE IN THE (SWEET) GRASS

Double moss stitch, broken ribbing, and a snaky sinuous cable: these fingerless mittens beautifully showcase the squishiness of the Targhee fiber from Sweet Grass Wool. The strong, simple design appeals to men, and the pattern was originally designed as a man's mitt, but it is certainly suitable for women as well.
Finished size: To fit 6-6.5 (7-7.5, 8-8.5)" palm circumference.
Yarn: Sweet Grass Lace, 100% wool, single ply, 460 yds/4 oz skein.
Needles: US 2/2.75mm, or size to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 28 sts and 40 rows = 4" in St st in the rnd.
Notions: Tapestry needle, 3 stitchmarkers, cable needle.
Skills needed: Knitting in the round (method not specified), cable, chart reading.
